What

You’ll Be Doing:

In this entry‑level role, you’ll receive hands‑on training and mentorship as you learn the fundamentals of aircraft cabinet finishing. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Learning and performing surface preparation and finishing techniques using sanding, polishing, and masking tools.

  • Following engineering drawings and safety standards to prepare materials and apply finishes.

  • Using adhesives, solvents, and finishing compounds to treat cabinet surfaces with precision and care.

  • Working with the material tracking system to document progress, sign off completed tasks, and report issues.

  • Supporting a clean, organized, and safety‑compliant work environment by following all 5S and PPE guidelines.

  • Collaborating closely with experienced technicians to continually build your knowledge and skillset.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Computer literacy and comfort using digital tools

  • Willingness and ability to:

  • Lift up to 40 pounds

  • Climb stairs/ladders

  • Work in confined areas and on any shift

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, auto body, or painting in a technical setting

  • Completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinet making or related field

  • Recent participation in a youth apprenticeship program in a skilled trade

Pay Details:

$33.81 per hour
