Our client is a rapidly growing beverage and nutraceutical manufacturer based in the Dallas, Texas area (Northwest). A new opportunity for an Operations Manager has arisen to join the day shift team. Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, this role leads in our state-of-the-art facility in Lewisville, TX and provides strategic leadership to drive operational excellence.
Role SummaryWe are seeking a candidate with a robust background in manufacturing, particularly within the food/beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics industries. As the Operations Manager, you will lead a team of production supervisors and related staff, ensuring seamless execution of daily operations to deliver high-quality products that meet customer requirements. This role requires a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, technical acumen, and proficiency with computer systems.
You will collaborate with senior and executive management.
- Manage and optimize performance of production teams and supervisors, enhancing workflow efficiency.
- Troubleshoot production challenges and facilitate effective resolutions.
- Oversee initiation of new production lines and operation of existing lines.
- Establish and attain production metrics to drive operational excellence.
- Exercise prudent control over manpower and expenditures.
- Drive training and development initiatives within the production domain.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication across all departmental functions.
- Facilitate effective cross-functional interactions, with proficiency in English/Spanish considered a plus.
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) required; a technical or engineering degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in manufacturing/production management within the food/beverage, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or cosmetics industries.
- Geographically accessible to Lewisville, TX for job responsibilities.
- Preferred background in mechanical/maintenance operations with a hands-on orientation.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and requirements planning processes.
- Willingness to work extended hours and provide supervisor coverage based on business demands.
