The primary function of the Assembler is to provide a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, eager to learn and grow as a versatile assembler. You will be using general tools such as soldering irons, cutters, wrenches, luggers, component bending tools, power tools and screwdrivers, vacuum equipment, heat guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines and possibly others.

M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays. Hourly, non‑exempt.

Location:

willingness to work in both Dallas and Richardson depending on assignments given. Eventually, we will only be in Richardson, 1401 E Lookout Drive.

• Perform a variety of diverse electronic or mechanical production assembly tasks meeting a consistent level of high skill, knowledge and versatility while meeting high quality expectations.
• Solder, assemble, route and secure wiring/cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinets.
• Work with hand tools and specialty tools as required.
• Perform rework resulting from drawing change notices.
• Cross‑train as back‑up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
• Develop working knowledge of the production environment.
• Comply with manufacturing code of conduct.
• Prioritize safety, quality, accuracy, and reliability of work performed.

• Report to manager or senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
• Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

• Minimum of 4 years related assembly experience; experience with electromechanical panel wiring, cabinet wiring, PLCs onto panel enclosures, wire routing.
• Use and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system).
• Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions and processes to assemble cables to manufacturing and industry specifications.
• Competencies required: work driven and goal‑oriented; work well with others and follow given instructions; gain the trust and respect of others.

• Familiarity and certification of IPC 610 & 620 or J‑Standards‑001.
• Awareness of Lean 6σ processes.

This position works in a production environment with risk of injury; therefore, safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 100 pounds (with assistance) is required.
