SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Cutting Supervisor or Lead, the Secondary Fabric Night Cutter is a fast-paced position responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Fabric Cutting table and their areas. Employees are required to work a full work week and be flexible for overtime as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to)

  • Learn the correct use of system switching on and off.
  • Learn how a traveler should read in order to generate an order in the system, for example if it has 2 colors, if it has welt cord, if it brings additional instructions to follow, etc.
  • Maintain a daily efficiency set by the company.
  • Learn how to cut fabric depending on the nap by checking the fabric roll category.
  • Learn basic troubleshooting of the system.
  • Maintain area clean using 5S practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Manual dexterity with the ability to operate hand and power tools including staple guns.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to work a changing work schedule according to production demands.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift a minimum 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a production environment using safety equipment including PPE.
