We are seeking a skilled Woodworker to fabricate high-quality wooden replacement parts for children’s swing sets, playsets, and playhouses. This role is woodworking‑first
, with the majority of time spent in the woodshop producing parts from technical drawings. When woodworking demand is lower, the role will also provide hands‑on support to the Product Development Prototyping team
, assisting with prototype fabrication, assembly, and testing of new consumer products such as play kitchens, dollhouses, and outdoor structures. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys craftsmanship, precision, and variety—balancing production woodworking with creative prototype support.
- Safely operate woodworking equipment such as table saws, band saws, drill presses, miter saws, planers, and hand tools.
- Fabricate wooden replacement parts that meet design, safety, and quality standards.
- Accurately interpret 2D and 3D CAD drawings to produce components to specification.
- Perform sanding, finishing, sealing, or painting as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe woodshop environment.
- Assist with material handling, shop organization, and light inventory tasks.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and workflows.
- Support the Product Development team withمنى fabrication and assembly of prototypes using woodshop tools, hand tools, CNC equipment, and 3D printers.
- Assist in building and modifying prototypes for new consumer products.
- Help conduct basic prototype testing to identify design or material improvements.
- Document prototype builds, materials, and revisions as needed.
- Maintain and organize the prototyping lab tools and equipment.
- Support iterative design changes based on feedback from designers, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency with standard woodworking machinery and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and translate them into physical parts.
- Basic computer skills (file handling, documentation, Microsoft Office).
- Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with Solid Works or other CAD software.
- Exposure to CNC machinery, former printers, or prototyping environments.
- Background in prototing, product development, or manufacturing support.
- Basic knowledge of materials beyond wood (plastics, metals, textiles).
- Interest in consumer products, toys, or outdoor play equipment.
