Furniture Framer-Day Shift

The American Leather factory is unique in the furniture industry. It allows us to create custom luxury furniture in Dallas, Texas, and deliver it to consumers' homes via our retail partners in about 30 days.

Under the direction of the Wood Shop Supervisor or Lead, the Framer is responsible for the safe and efficient assembly of wood frames using a variety of hand tools and power tools. The work week is typically forty hours per week and flexible for overtime as required based on company needs.

• Receives cut plywood from the router operator.
• Sorts wood to make maintenance adjustments, such as cleaning filters.
• Reads diagrams of styles and SKUs to determine appropriate procedures for attaching parts.
• Operates hand tools, nail guns, staple guns.
• Counts and reports rejected parts (notify assistant supervisor).
• Clean and maintain the work area.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Manual dexterity with the ability to operate hand and power tools, including nail guns and staple guns.
• Ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to work a changing work schedule according to production demands.
• Ability to work collaboratively with departments.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work in cold and hot environments (non-climate-controlled).
• Ability to work with strict deadlines.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
• Ability to work in a production environment using safety equipment, including protective eyewear, earplugs, and safety gloves as required.

• Continuous standing for extended periods of time.
• Frequent lifting and turning using arms and torso.
• Frequent bending, pushing, leaning, and twisting.
