The Production Supervisor will lead the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and is responsible for the lines’ success.
Responsibilities- Lead the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and responsible for the lines success.
- Evaluate daily and regularly plant operating performance and advise on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
- Lead a team of individual professionals (e.g., engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
- Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution; guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.
- Solicit and evaluate ideas for plant improvements and collaborate with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
- Provide technical and operational advice to project teams.
- Act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
- Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
- Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency and materials supply to meet customer requirements.
- Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
- Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of previous leadership experience.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree, military training, equivalent vocational training or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Time‑keeping management and reconciliation.
- Previous experience with commercial or residential electrical troubleshooting.
- Lean principles knowledge and experience.
