Focus/Objective
The Extrusion Operator Assistant supports plant operations by assisting in machine set‑ups, helping maintain production standards, and ensuring safe and efficient workflows.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Adjust, calibrate, and test equipment at the beginning of every shift to ensure proper pressure, speed, temperature and general operation.
- Examine visually, weigh and measure components created from equipment at the end of the week to ensure machines are produced according to company and industry regulations and standards, adjusting as needed.
- Work with team members, shift supervisors and all necessary personnel to take care of complications as they arise.
- Communicate with fellow team members to learn of any equipment problems or malfunctions and take care of them as they come up.
- Use regulated cleaning solutions, grease guns, oil cans, air hoses and cleaning cloths to properly maintain and clean equipment on a bimonthly basis.
- Make repairs to equipment when necessary, and replace all defective, broken or worn‑out components.
- Choose and install cutters, molds, and all other necessary equipment parts so machines are always operating at peak efficiency.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem‑solving skills and team player.
- Detail oriented and commitment to follow through to completion.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking from one end of the building to the other.
- Manufacturing experience preferred.

- 12 to 24 months of experience as an Extrusion Machine Operator Assistant or related experience.
- Successfully completed all requirements from the respective Extrusion Operator Check sheet.
- Able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience or ability in mentoring and training.
- Self‑directed and independent with strong communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Exemplify EE Dallas QB Inc.’s safety culture in everyday activities.
- Gain a thorough working knowledge of EE Dallas QB Inc. Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) policies and procedures.
- Follow all EE Dallas QB Inc. facility and corporate ES&H procedures and practices.
- Attend and actively participate in facility ESH meetings and forums that will drive employee involvement.
- Participate in JSA’s, and other site safety reviews.
