Materials Coordinator – Crown Technical Systems

We’re adding a Materials Coordinator in Dallas, Texas, who will report to the Planning Supervisor and be responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials among departments to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met.
Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Responsibilities- Coordinate with Buyers and Planners to ensure material needs of production are met
- Follow up with vendors and buyers regarding lead times for materials and obtain tracking information; coordinate delivery dates, as needed
- Follow up on any items showing shortages and work with purchasing and engineering to get a resolution in place
- Update the status of the materials and ETAs in the ERP system
- Notify appropriate internal teams (project managers, production managers, etc.) of any issues and material shortages that could potentially affect production
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing setting required
- 1+ years’ experience in planning, customer service, production, inventory, logistics or expediting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Experience with MRP/ERP Systems preferred
- Able to type 120 WPM preferred
- Bilingual preferred
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk using a computer
- Must wear PPE (gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection) while working on the production floor
