Forklift & Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Schedule: Monday
- Friday (2:00pm-10:30pm) with some weekend work and OT

The Forklift Operator/Machine Operator (Production Area) supports the safe, efficient and productive set up, maintenance, and operations of machinery and forklifts, including general maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, prepare packaging, and package product as required or assigned by supervisor.

• Forklift Operations: Must be trained and certified on the forklift; trained and able to demonstrate hazardous chemical handling; proficient in the operation of stretch wrappers; proficient with a forklift on all operations lines; load trucks in the prescribed manner; demonstrate ability to complete and make changes to pick sheets; communicate with visitors and customers in a professional manner; basic operational knowledge of roll up doors;
  
  understand the inventory procedure; trained and able to demonstrate pallet transfer operations; demonstrate the ability to reconcile finished product.
• Machine Operations: Inspect machines for proper functioning and safety compliance; set up manufacturing equipment; keep lines stocked with packaging materials; fill out appropriate paperwork related to lines CCPs, production, and packaging materials; perform basic troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment; basic knowledge of equipment operation; communicate with supervisor when line is down or needs attention; report/resolve observed quality issues; proper start up, running and shutdown of line;
  
  proper tear down, cleaning, and reassembly of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment; knowledge of chemical handling procedures including PPE; knowledge of process flow from source tank to filling; basic understanding of pumps, valves, and changing filters.

  Proficient knowledge in operating Forklift and Machine in a manufacturing environment; basic computer knowledge

• Forklift Driver/Machine Operator Physical: Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
