JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director for Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center (SCCC) Clinical Research Operations, works under limited supervision to implement, oversee, and evaluate the programmatic activities associated with all business operations associated with clinical research in the SCCC Clinical Research Office (CRO). The Manager will be expected to perform the following job duties:
a. Provide leadership and oversight to teams handling AR/AP, departmental financial metrics, and salary sourcing. Helping to facilitate collaboration to integrate workflow
a. Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce redundancies and enhance efficiency in clinical trial finance.
b. Develop and implement best practices, dashboards, and metrics to support decision-making.
c. Partner with CRO and institutional leadership to translate operational data into strategic insights.
a. Lead or support implementation of new operational or financial platforms.
b. Ensure platform adoptions across all relevant teams and alignment with strategic goals.
c. Identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting.
a. Serve as the central pint of contact for finance, operations, and research teams on clinical trial process.
b. Communication updates, challenges, and strategic recommendations to leadership
c. Facilitate meetings and initiatives that align teams and drive cross functional solutions.
a. Foster a culture of collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
a. Oversee the CRO Administrative Team, ensuring they effectively support clinical research operations.
b. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team operates efficiently and aligns with broader operational goals.

Bachelor s Degree in science, social science, healthcare administration, or a related field - Experience
7 years of administration in research experience preferably in information resources and finance or regulatory/ clinical research administration respectively; including
3 years in a management role and
Experience with oncology clinical trials administration
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

JOB DUTIES
- Responsible for CRO departmental tracking related to all aspects of business operations including but not limited to key metrics measured by the Cancer Center CRO in support of NCI designation, time to study activation, accrual, clinical trials patient calendars, clinical trial revenues and payables, and staffing metrics. This responsibility includes assessment of need, design of tracking tools, as well as implementation and training.
- Includes preparing long-term vision and organizational structure of the unit to ensure maximum efficiencies related to CRO operations.
- Partner with relevant department and institutional teams to identify, implement and maintain appropriate financial software and database applications specific to Cancer Center CRO priorities and initiatives.
- Provide strategic consultation and guidance to senior leadership regarding business proposals and make recommendations for optimizing the operational impact of business initiatives.
