Job DescriptionThe Consultant will assist their assigned Managing Consultant with execution of assigned tasks, production of on‑time and high‑quality work product, and management or coordination with other team members as assigned or requested. The Consultant is responsible for supporting the success of their entire assigned practice area/practice division as the highest priority, regardless of any assigned subpractice area focus, or specific client engagement or relationship.
In any coordination or management activities, the Consultant will perform assigned tasks in a manner that models the Company’s core values and inspires and encourages goal achievement through empowerment, learning, and creativity among the team.
- Managing and assessing complex information for accuracy and risk on various high‑profile projects to ensure highest quality and timely delivery of a wide scope of contracted services.
- Completing plan and cost reviews, site observations, property condition reports, and internal quality control reviews.
- Conducting due diligence for proposed developments.
- Performing construction project management and leading project meetings.
- Supporting various aspects related to business development.
- Completing presentations, conducting research.
- Supporting senior leadership on various projects, company initiatives, and administrative matters.
- Traveling is required for this role, both locally and nationally, including overnight stays.
- Responsible for supporting assigned Managing Consultant in meeting or exceeding the defined annual budget for the entire practice area.
- Effectively coordinate with other team members as requested or assigned, providing guidance and monitoring progress on assigned tasks or projects, and ensuring work product is consistently high quality.
- Support assigned Managing Consultant in monitoring all relevant data such as individual utilization performance vs. target, client deadlines, accurate and timely timesheet data, etc.
- Meet or exceed defined individual average utilization goals as set forth by company leadership.
- Coordinate and support other team members in a “lead by example” manner, emphasizing positivity and a culture empowered to execute.
- Mentor project team members in execution of defined objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Support individual and any assigned team members in quality control of service delivery, maintaining an excellent reputation of quality.
- Provide guidance to project team members in a manner that assists with rapid identification and escalation to Managing Consultant of any client, team member, or operational challenges.
- Be aware of and work in a manner that supports the organization’s vision and defined business objectives.
- Conduct self and collaborate with others in working toward achievement of defined profit objectives of assigned projects.
- Cooperate in construction of strong cross‑functional teams, including assignments outside of original practice area, to achieve shared goals.
- Complete daily tasks consistently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar from an accredited university plus five years of related experience. Ten years of comparable experience may be considered in lieu of this requirement.
- Solid Construction Project Management experience.
- Sound construction and construction administration knowledge.
- Familiarity with housing, retail and commercial design or construction.
