Chief Financial Officer

Unity Search has been exclusively retained with this fast growing PE-backed company seeking a Chief Financial Officer. Our client is targeting a strategic, hands‑on individual to partner with the CEO and executive team to accelerate growth, enhance profitability, and drive operational excellence.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial direction of a dynamic company backed by a nationally recognized private equity firm.

As CFO, you’ll lead the Finance, IT, Legal (outside counsel), and Risk functions while collaborating across the executive team to deliver results. You’ll play a central role in M&A diligence and integration, team development, and strategic modeling.

• Lead all financial operations, reporting, and controls (Net Suite/Sage)
• Build and execute financial strategies aligned with company growth goals
• Drive profitability via margin improvement and service-level analysis
• Partners on acquisitions: sourcing, due diligence, and post-close integration
• Manage debt, cash flow forecasting, and KPI reporting (EBITDA, revenue, etc.)
• Oversee IT, insurance, legal, and risk management
• Mentor and scale a high-performing finance and accounting team
• Collaborate closely with PE firm, the CEO, and Board of Directors

• 10+ years leadership experience as a CFO and currently in a CFO position
• 8+ years of PE-Backed company experience required
• Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution or Consumer Services industry required
• Must have experience taking the company through at least one exit
• Experience working in a growing company, both organically and via acquisition
• Experience identifying, performing due diligence and acquisitions
• Demonstrated leadership in strategic planning, execution and leadership
• Most be detail-oriented, relationship builder and strategic thinker
• Strong interpersonal skills

Compensation for this role will depend on experience but will roughly be in the $300k - $350k salary range plus 50-75% discretionary bonus plus equity!
