GENERAL FUNCTIONThe Project Manager, Strategy & Transformation, Essilor Luxottica North America is responsible for leading complex, multi‑functional strategic projects related to commercial transformation and integration across Essilor Luxottica North America Business Units.
The position will report to the Sr Director, Strategy & Transformation and will have specific focus on the implementation of key projects for continued evolution of EL North America. This role will work closely with senior leadership in the process of shaping and executing initiatives that drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability & market competitiveness. The Manager acts as a key partner to the business and shared services teams and is accountable for the strategy & execution of projects, ensuring full stakeholder alignment.
This position is responsible for the management of cross‑functional project teams responsible for related work streams. This role requires strategic thinking, cross‑functional group management experience, as well as strong problem solving, project planning and execution follow‑through competencies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead end‑to‑end integration projects following acquisitions, mergers, or onboarding of new business units as assigned by Senior Leadership.
- Develop and manage detailed integration plans, timelines, budgets, & resource requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams including Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, Sales, and Marketing, both at the global and local levels.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the existing organization and the newly integrated business.
- Leverages organizational knowledge to drive efficient and consistent approach to integration and transformation work streams, supporting effective change management.
- Serves as the primary liaison for cross‑functional project teams, executing assigned initiatives.
- Partners with the Sr. Director, Transformation & Integration, to strategically identify & execute strategic plans to maximize revenue growth & market competitiveness.
- Gather Commercial insights to turn strategic objectives into actionable commercial plans, using data‑driven insights to guide pricing, go‑to‑market strategies, and portfolio optimization.
- Leads strategic initiatives: managing key strategic initiatives, supporting functional area executives who have assigned appropriate subject matter experts and resources.
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related experience required.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in business integration, M&A, or transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience managing complex, cross‑functional projects within a highly matrixed global organization.
- Strong understanding of business operations, process improvement, and organizational change.
