About the role

The Warehouse Logistics Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective movement of goods, accurate inventory management, and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role requires a combination of leadership, analytical skills, and operational expertise to manage the day-to-day activities of the warehouse team and drive continuous improvement.

What you’ll do
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to track and manage stock levels.
  • Regularly conduct inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  • Analyze demand patterns and maintain appropriate stock levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to manage stock replenishment and allocation.
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of company owned tools and equipment.
  • Optimize order processing workflows to minimize turnaround time and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and optimize the warehouse layout for efficient space utilization and streamlined workflows.
  • Ensure that goods are organized logically to enable quick and easy retrieval.
  • Implement lean and 5S principles to maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff, including supervisors, pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure optimal coverage and workload distribution.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with transportation partners to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Coordinate with field teams to facilitate jobsite deliveries and/or pick-ups.
  • Monitor transportation schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient utilization of resources.
  • Address any issues related to transportation delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety training sessions and audits to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements related to warehousing and logistics.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with field teams to facilitate maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles.
Qualifications

Required Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in warehouse management, with a focus on logistics and inventory control.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software tools.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in warehousing.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision-making.
