Warehouse Supervisor

Alamon, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Supervisor for its Network Services department.

Responsibilities include coordinating the daily activities of workers engaged in materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse. The role reviews shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products. The supervisor develops work schedules and assigns work to subordinates.

Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Schedules, hires, trains, and oversees warehouse staff.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
  • Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
  • Replenishes stock and inventory as needed.
  • Ensures that all stock is stored in the correct locations in the warehouse.
  • Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery promptly and according to schedule.
  • Schedules for materials being transferred to and from the warehouse, and coordinates transfer of inventory between departments.
  • Collaborates with other departments and stakeholders to develop strategic plans and procedures to increase the efficiency of warehouse practices.
  • Monitors expenditures.
  • Implements corrective actions if needed.
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.
  • Resolves routine equipment issues.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems.
Minimum Position Qualifications
  • Must pass the pre‑employment screening process which includes a background check, drug test and motor vehicle records pull.
  • Have the ability and mentality to work outdoors, in a physically demanding work environment and all‑weather conditions, lifting or moving up to 50 lbs., and hiking over various terrain.
  • Possess a current and valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI / DWIs within the past 5 years.
  • Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
  • Be available to work nights and weekends as required by project demands.
Work Environment
  • This position is based in a warehouse setting. Exposure to dust, odors, gases, vapors, varying noise levels, and wet or slick surfaces may occur.
  • When appropriate, you must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with Company standards and applicable governmental regulations.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel will be required.
  • Lodging and transportation will be provided while working and traveling for the Company.
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in Business or similar discipline required.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in distribution or manufacturing is required.
