The Distribution & Logistics Manager serves as a strategic and operational partner to the Supply Chain and Operations teams, leading Pollo Campero USA’s national restaurant distribution network. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable product flow, cost efficiency, and high service levels across all markets. The Distribution & Logistics Manager drives consistent distribution practices, manages key vendor and logistics relationships, and supports business growth by aligning distribution strategies with operational and financial objectives.
This role plays a critical part in enabling restaurant openings, new product launches, and overall operational excellence through disciplined execution, cross‑functional collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop the distribution operations, inventory, and logistics support team.
- Manage national distributors, 3PLs, and freight partners to ensure strong service, food safety, and cost efficiency.
- Execute the freight management strategy to optimize transportation costs and service levels.
- Ensure supply continuity, service performance, and cost control across all distribution channels.
- Lead incident management and contingency planning to minimize business and restaurant impact.
- Act as the primary escalation point for distribution and operational issues, partnering closely with Operations.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with distributor and 3PL leadership to drive performance and alignment.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Procurement, S&OP, R&D, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and QA on restaurant openings, LTOs, and product launches.
- Ensure pricing accuracy, contract compliance, and adherence to service agreements.
- Define, track, and report KPIs across cost, service, and operational efficiency; lead regular business reviews.
- Support supplier optimization, performance management, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
- Oversee inventory planning and accuracy across the distribution network.
- Lead network and process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency, visibility, and scalability.
- Provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision‑making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, distribution, or logistics.
- Food service, QSR, or Fast Casual industry experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Proven success managing 3PLs and broadline distributors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives and implement process improvements.
- Proficiency with Arrow Stream, Inside Track, or similar analytical platforms preferred.
