The Deployed Operations Manager is responsible for managing, mentoring, and supervising Level 300 Site Leads who in turn lead the crews that perform our Contractor Owned Contractor Operated (COCO) and extended duration international operations. They are Shield AI’s primary touchpoint for COCO crew information and work closely with the FSR Management team to provide personnel courses of action to the Senior Manager.

They mentor, develop, and train COCO Site Leads and crews to ensure mission readiness and provide technical support for deployed teams.

• Ensure Site Leads achieve mission impacts, fulfill contractual obligations, and delight customers.
• Manage, mentor, and supervise Site Leads who lead crews on COCO and extended duration international operations.
• Serve as Shield AI’s primary contact for COCO crew information, collaborating closely with the FSR Management team and Senior Manager.
• Work with the FSR Supervisors on COCO staffing, providing Senior Manager deployed operations courses of action and ensuring optimal crew employment.
• Mentor, develop, and train Site Leads and crews to ensure mission readiness and operational excellence.
• Provide technical support to deployed teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

• Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring operational teams.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in international operations and a deep understanding of Contractor Owned Contractor Operated Unmanned Aviation System operations.
• Technical proficiency to provide necessary support to deployed teams.

• Previously served in a Site Lead capacity on a deployment or extended duration OCONUS operation.
• V-BAT AVO certified.
• V-BAT AVO instructor certified or ability to obtain.

Salary
: $116,920 – $175,380 per year

• Full‑time regular employee offer includes Pay within range listed, Bonus, Benefits, Equity.
• Temporary employee offer includes Pay within range listed above plus temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment).
• Salary compensation is influenced by various factors including skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
• All offers are contingent on a cleared background and possible reference check. Military fellows and part‑time employees are not eligible for benefits.
