Facility Lead Person- Jesse Owens Complex

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned staff to ensure adequate maintenance of the building and adjacent grounds.
• Operate HVAC equipment for environmental comfort according to established guidelines and directives, perform all operator inspections, and maintain operator log sheets.
• Inspect the facility and adjacent grounds for security, vandalism, safety hazards, and housekeeping, and make reports to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow the facility cleaning schedules and perform housekeeping in the assigned work section using approved methods and acceptable standards.
• Adhere to safety inspections and perform minor preventive maintenance repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, and painting with the tools assigned.
• Maintain accurate records including employee records, inventory, cleaning schedules, and vacation planning.
• Procure materials and supplies for the facility.
• Complete and submit all operating, accident, and emergency rescue reports to provide accountability of operations in CMMS and to the correct department.
• Perform employee evaluations on assigned staff.
• Maintain good public relations and communications with coworkers, principals, department heads, and other supervisors.
• Prepare the facility for graduations, external rental requests, district meetings and activities, and fields and courts to UIL standards; assist teams with equipment and providing beverages to teams and coaching staff.
• Comply with district policies and procedures.
• Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.
• All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time-and-effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate.

• Accredited high school diploma or U.S. equivalency.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience; advanced HVAC/MEP preferred.
• Knowledgeable in housekeeping cleaning procedures and custodial equipment.
• Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position.
