About the RoleAs a Building Engineer Assistant at Belmont Village Senior Living, you will provide maintenance assistance and support to the Building Engineer in all areas of general maintenance for the community and grounds. You should have hands‑on experience in basic plumbing, dry wall patching, and painting. The ideal candidate is reliable, takes pride in their work, demonstrates empathy, thrives in a fast‑paced and physically active environment, collaborates effectively, and embraces a growth mindset.

- Assist the Building Engineer with preventative and routine maintenance, including basic plumbing repairs, dry‑wall repairs, painting, and general upkeep of the community and grounds.
- Maintain common areas, ensure exterior sidewalks are free of debris, and assist with trash removal as needed.
- Complete the apartment make‑ready process efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Support resident needs by completing assigned maintenance work‑order tasks and assist with internal moves as needed.
- Assist with special‑event setup and clean‑up as required.
- Prioritize hospitality, customer service, and resident satisfaction in every interaction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience in an apartment, senior‑living, hotel, or comparable setting.
- Proficient reading, comprehension, writing, and mathematical ability.
- Clear verbal and written communication in English.
- Ability to work assigned shifts, which may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Professional, pleasant, and team‑oriented attitude.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
