Weekend Custodian

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.

• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
• Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
• Perform repetitive tasks.
• Maintain clean work area.
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
• Take direction and respond to supervision.
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner.
• Fill in during staff shortage.
• Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
• Use proper personal protective equipment.
• Present a professional appearance and conduct.
• Understand customer service and satisfaction.
• Understand reporting systems and the environment.

No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

May be required to have a valid driver’s license, complete all safety and task training certifications, and possibly be forklift certified.

• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willingness to share with team.
• Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Frequently required to sit and talk or listen.
• Work environment may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.

$14.50–$15.50 per hour.

Saturday 10:00 am – 6:30 pm.
