Overview
The Supply Chain Associate will work closely with the Sr. Supply Chain Analyst and Sr. Director of Supply Chain and will be responsible for delivering excellent ordering and fulfillment services to the Buff City Soap stores from suppliers, third party logistics partners, and our carriers. Additionally, this role will work cross functionally to understand the needs of the sales side of the business and then collaborate within our supply chain team and network to deliver valuable solutions.
To ensure success as a Supply Chain Associate, you should possess experience in customer service, problem solving and analysis. The Supply Chain Associate will be someone whose industry experience and capability translates into establishing a high level of Franchise Support and improving overall service to our FZ network.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the main POC for the Customer Service team, assisting stores daily with order management and deliveries
- Monitor and respond to Zendesk inquiries daily while quickly solving problems across vendors, carriers and stores successfully
- Monitor store compliance across established Receiving SOPs & deploy any improved processes cross-functionally
- Take initiative to identify consistent themes and issues across customer service inquiries and innovate accordingly
- Work with current systems to help maintain or improve current capabilities while monitoring store feedback
- Produce, distribute, and monitor weekly shipping status reports for each supplier and 3PL
- Participate in the development, tracking, and reporting of KPIs
- Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain Ops & Procurement to notify vendor related issues & highlight current performance
- Process freight claims as needed for LTL & Parcel while maintaining a record of the transactions for business reviews
- Maintain or add accurate store address information & communicate updates across appropriate internal systems or channels
- Work cross functionally to help with successful execution of product launches & on time delivery with minimal disruptions
- Relay actionable feedback to carriers based on performance, addressing recurring issues and accountability
- Take on special projects to improve performance and assist with implementations as directed or as self-Identified
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 0-2 years of professional experience in customer service, supply chain operations, distribution, or logistics
- Passionate about customer service and problem solving
- Innovative and continuous improvement mindset
- Strong written & verbal communication
- Ability to perform in a goal-oriented or performance-driven environment preferred
- Proficient in basic Microsoft programs and comfortable looking at trends/data
- Experience with Zendesk or similar customer service ticketing systems is a plus
- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/ standing
- Constantly operates a computer or other office equipment
