About

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our Default Services team in Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in foreclosure law, along with experience in title curative matters and general civil litigation. This role requires the ability to manage a high‑volume caseload, work independently to advance files, draft legal documents for attorney review, and ensure compliance with all internal, client, and court deadlines.

The successful candidate will be detail‑oriented, proactive in identifying and resolving issues, and able to communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel. This position plays a vital role in supporting the firm’s default operations and upholding our commitment to exceptional client service—where above all, service comes first.

What You ll Do
  • Assist in managing assigned foreclosure, litigation, and title curative files through resolution under attorney supervision.
  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents—including motions, affidavits, notices, and curative pleadings—for attorney review and filing.
  • Support title review efforts by identifying title defects, lien priority issues, and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
  • Monitor all deadlines to ensure timely responses and filings in accordance with court rules and client requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting court filings across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with procedural standards.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and title companies to advance case progress.
  • Maintain and update internal case management systems, client portals, and milestone requirements to meet strict client service level agreements.
  • Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, settlement discussions, and post‑sale matters, including eviction processes and title curative actions.
  • Escalate complex legal or procedural issues as appropriate while offering recommended solutions.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the firm’s operational objectives and commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in foreclosure or mortgage‑servicing operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to clients, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated customer‑service skills, including professionalism, responsiveness, and the ability to resolve inquiries effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when reviewing documents and updating case information.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and determine effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Access, with the ability to learn additional technology platforms as required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Adaptability to changing client expectations, internal processes, and industry requirements.
