We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Assistant to join our team on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and who is well-versed in a variety of legal procedures and protocols. The successful candidate will be a key player in our legal team, assisting in the preparation, filing, and management of various legal documents, and handling a range of administrative duties.

This role will focus heavily on matters concerning intellectual property, including USPTO, PCT applications, transmittal, information disclosure statements, and foreign patent matters.

Job Details Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of legal documents with the USPTO and other relevant agencies.
  • Managing PCT applications, including preparing and submitting necessary documentation.
  • Handling transmittal and information disclosure statements.
  • Assisting with foreign patent matters, including liaising with foreign associates and managing correspondence.
  • Organizing and maintaining case files, ensuring all relevant information is easily accessible and up-to-date.
  • Conducting legal research, summarizing findings, and preparing briefing notes as required.
  • Communicating effectively with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and other relevant parties.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legal procedures and regulations.
  • Performing a variety of administrative duties, including scheduling, data entry, and record keeping.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably within the Intellectual Property field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of legal procedures, protocols, and court systems.
  • Familiarity with USPTO, PCT applications, transmittal, information disclosure statements, and foreign patent matters.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of documents and data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • High level of professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field is preferred.
