Bankruptcy Attorney

Overview

An established litigation firm is seeking a Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate with 2–5 years of experience to join its Dallas office.

This role offers hands-on exposure to complex Chapter 11 matters, bankruptcy-related litigation, and restructuring work, with meaningful responsibility from day one.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior attorneys on high-stakes insolvency matters and play an active role in case strategy, execution, and client advising. This is an excellent opportunity for an associate looking to deepen their bankruptcy expertise while receiving close mentorship and courtroom exposure.

• Support complex Chapter 11 cases, restructurings, and bankruptcy litigation
• Conduct legal research and draft substantive pleadings, motions, and correspondence
• Assist with hearings, depositions, and trial preparation
• Manage discrete aspects of matters and contribute to overall case strategy
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third parties
• Maintain organized case files and track time and expenses accurately
• Provide regular updates to supervising attorneys and collaborate across teams

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Texas Bar admission and good standing
• 2–5 years of bankruptcy and restructuring experience
• Demonstrated exposure to Chapter 11 matters and related litigation
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel for hearings or trials as needed
