A respected, mid-sized law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney looking for hands-on experience, direct client exposure, and the chance to work on sophisticated commercial litigation matters in a collaborative environment.
The OpportunityThe associate will work closely with experienced litigators on a broad range of commercial matters, including contract disputes, business torts, fiduciary duty claims, and other complex commercial litigation. Attorneys are given meaningful responsibility early and are encouraged to take ownership of their cases while receiving strong mentorship.
Responsibilities- Manage matters through all phases of commercial litigation
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Assist with hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
- Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Work collaboratively within a team-based litigation practice
- 2+ years of commercial or complex litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience with discovery, depositions, and motion practice
- Active Texas Bar admission required
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to sophisticated commercial litigation matters
