Business Immigration Consultant (Experienced Paralegal)

How You’ll Make a Difference- Perform substantive, client‑facing work in employment‑based immigration, exceeding typical paralegal duties.
- Independently prepare and file petitions, gathering documents, reviewing case files, drafting legal arguments.
- Manage case status through case management and billing systems; run reports and review cases.
- Intake cases, troubleshoot issues, establish case strategy, recommend solutions and process improvements.
- Produce clear, well‑organized written products that apply immigration knowledge and problem‑solving skills.
- Communicate proactively with foreign nationals and client contacts, providing prompt case status updates.
- Meet deadline SLAs, report progress, status, escalations to supervisor.
- Assist in hiring and training new team members; identify ways to improve team productivity and office projects.
- Monitor immigration policy changes; incorporate changes into processes with leadership.
- Operate case management and reporting tools efficiently.
- Contribute to team and individual productivity goals.
- Follow firm standards and policies to ensure compliance (Data Privacy protocols, accurate Connect use).
- Continuously improve quality, efficiency, and standardization of processes, products, services.
- Associate’s degree or Paralegal certificate with 4 years of business immigration experience, OR Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of procedural requirements for non‑immigrant and immigrant visas and client processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proofread documents and draft fluent prose without AI editors.
- Experience using MS Word and Excel.
- Desire to contribute to a positive work environment, collaborate and promote teamwork.
