Litigation Associate – Dallas Office, Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP
The Dallas office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP seeks a Litigation Associate with a minimum of 1 year of general litigation experience. The individual hired for this position will be responsible for handling most aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, arguing hearings, managing discovery requests and responses, taking and defending depositions, and assisting with trial preparations and trial.
Academicand Professional Qualifications
- 1–9 years of general litigation experience
- Admission to the Texas Bar
- Possession of a JD from an accredited law school and a strong academic record
- Excellent credentials
- Legal research, drafting legal documents, conducting discovery, coordinating with local counsel, and defending against litigation
- Excellent research and organizational skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Courtroom and deposition experience preferred but not required
- More senior candidates should have substantial experience managing commercial lawsuits from start to finish; more junior candidates should have an exceptional academic record
- Must be a self‑starter, able to prioritize workload, display good judgment, and work well under pressure
