Primary Casualty Underwriter / Excess Casualty Underwriter
DFW / Westlake, TX (Preferred)
Our client is a modern, high-growth MGA built with a true carrier mindset. While operating with MGA flexibility, the firm underwrites with full carrier discipline—tracking loss ratio, profitability, and underwriting results with rigor. This model offers underwriters the best of both worlds: strong financial backing and infrastructure paired with autonomy, creativity, and speed.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build and scale a casualty platform, shape underwriting philosophy, and develop profitable books of business. Roles are available on both the Primary and Excess Casualty teams, underwriting general liability risks through a 100% wholesale broker distribution model.
Ideal candidates bring a carrier underwriting background with 5–10+ years of casualty experience, including primary and/or excess liability. Experience managing profitable portfolios, building broker relationships, and exercising sound underwriting judgment is essential.
