Join Sagemcom as it expands in the North American market for electricity and water management solutions. With nearly 30 years of experience in smart meters and communication networks, Sagemcom is a key player in providing comprehensive solutions to network operators aiming to optimize operational efficiency in the face of growing demand.

We are seeking a Pre-Sales Bid Manager for North America. The candidate will be responsible for responding to tenders for smart electricity and water metering systems. This includes technical presentations and demonstrations to clients (as a Field Application Engineer) to showcase our solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and has a strong technical interest to effectively lead bid responses in a highly competitive field.

The candidate will report to the North America subsidiary director, based in Dallas (Texas), and will be part of a growing organization that meets client objectives and solves their challenges. Close collaboration with the Pre-Sales team in Bois-Colombes (France) is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for responses to "Smart Electricity" and "Smart Water" tenders, from pre-qualification to contract award.
  • In-depth analysis of client specifications.
  • Presentation of technical gap analysis to establish bid strategy.
  • Propose tailored technical-commercial solutions, encouraging innovation and creative ideas to meet client needs.
  • Coordinate the entire bid response, fully integrating commercial intelligence.
  • Develop pricing strategy in collaboration with sales.
  • Monitor and control bid progress, escalating difficult points to management as needed.
  • Coordinate additional phases of the tender process: presentations, negotiations, BAFO, etc.
  • Actively participate in technical presentations and demonstrations to clients (as FAE) to highlight our solutions.
  • Lead bid responses in collaboration with partners and external stakeholders to deliver coherent offers within complex consortia.
  • Support the Program Manager during contract handover and launch with internal and external teams.
  • Maintain constant market watch and pre-sales activities related to future tenders. Contribute to product roadmap evolution in line with market trends and customer use cases.
  • Participate in updating the documentation database dedicated to North American tenders
Qualifications
  • Graduate from an university or engineering school, ideally with a specialized master's from a business school, with expertise in at least one of the following: energy, telecommunications, networks, systems, electrical engineering, or electronics.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, recognized for organization, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Able to interact directly with various stakeholders such as clients (commercial dimension), partners, R&D teams, production, product marketing, etc.
  • Other Languages skills such as Spanish and/or French would be a plus.
