Technical Engagement Manager

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders across business, technology, and executive layers throughout engagement
• Build trusted, long-term relationships that go beyond the current engagement — understand client priorities, pressures, and organizational dynamics
• Run regular structured check-ins and executive reviews, keeping stakeholders aligned on progress, risks, and upcoming decisions
• Own end-to-end engagement health across migration — tracking milestones, managing dependencies, and proactively surfacing blockers before they become issues
• Work closely with technical leads to stay current on what is being built, how it maps to client expectations, and where gaps exist
• Coordinate work streams including data engineering, QA, infrastructure, and downstream system owners to ensure a cohesive plan
• Manage scope, timeline, and change requests in a way that keeps delivery moving without eroding client confidence
• Proactively bring improvement ideas to the table: whether it is a better approach to a migration phase, a tooling recommendation, or a process change that saves time on both sides
• Stay attuned to the client's broader data and technology roadmap — understand where the organization is heading beyond the current scope
• Identify natural extension points for additional engagement: new work streams, adjacent systems, governance needs, or capability gaps the team can fill
• Collaborate with internal leadership to shape proposals and expand the relationship thoughtfully, always anchored in genuine client value

• 12+ years of overall experience in data, technology, or consulting engagements, with a meaningful portion spent in client‑facing or program leadership roles
• Hands‑on background in data engineering or data architecture.
• Good to have experience with Azure ecosystem, particularly Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, or comparable cloud data platforms
• Experience working with US‑based enterprise clients, with an understanding of how to navigate stakeholder dynamics across large organizations
• Familiarity with legacy data platforms such as Informatica, SSIS, or on‑premise SQL Server environments that are common migration sources
• Exposure to data governance, data quality frameworks, or metadata management in the context of large‑scale migrations
