Business Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a Business Analyst for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX/ Tampa, FL/ Jersey City, NJ. This role documents detailed API contracts while mapping system data flows to ensure seamless connectivity across platforms.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Business Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Define, document, and maintain detailed API requirements, including endpoints, payload structures, headers, and error models.
• Analyze and map data flows between systems to support API integrations and ensure accurate transformation logic.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical API specifications.
• Create user stories, support Agile ceremonies, and manage API-related tasks, defects, and deliverables within Jira.
• Validate API functionality through testing to ensure performance, scalability, and security standards are met.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation such as Swagger/OpenAPI files to support development and cross-team usage.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 8-10 years of experience in business systems analysis, API design, and integration-focused solution delivery.
• Strong hands-on expertise with REST/SOAP APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation, and JSON/XML data formats.
• Proven experience in analyzing data models, mapping system integrations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
