ETL Developer / Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Location:

Jersey City, NJ, Dallas TX, or Tampa FL

Rate: $55-58 (must be able to accept w2 without sponsorship, NOW or at any time in the future)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced ETL Developer / Data Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake and Talend to build large-scale data engineering pipelines within a financial services environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex data ecosystems and has a strong background in cloud-based data warehousing and risk-management-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize large-scale ETL pipelines using Talend and Snowflake

Build and maintain cloud-based data warehouse applications

Develop complex ETL transformations and ensure high-performance data processing

Write, tune, and manage advanced SQL for real-time reporting across Snowflake, Oracle, and other warehouse systems

Create and manage Autosys JILs for orchestration

Develop Shell and Python scripts to support ETL pipeline orchestration

Support CI/CD processes using Bitbucket, Git, and Liquibase

Apply best practices in PL/SQL development and performance tuning

Contribute to data modeling, data integration, and enterprise data architecture initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

7+ years of experience building and maintaining large-scale data warehouse applications in the cloud

Strong expertise with Snowflake, including data loading and performance tuning

5+ years of advanced SQL development experience

3+ years of PL/SQL development and optimization

Hands-on experience with Shell scripting, Python, and Autosys

Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Liquibase, and CI/CD pipelines

Solid understanding of data integration concepts, data warehouse modeling, and enterprise data architecture patterns

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services

Background in risk-management data pipelines
