Director of IT Service Management System Level.
Director will have their own ITSM department to manage that interacts with all technical, functional, and service areas of IT systems across the system. They would not have people at the various hospitals reporting in. This position reports to the CTO, who then reports to the CIO.
Director will be responsible for providing the vision and direct leadership for components of the IT Service Management program, including: change management, configuration management, release management, incident and problem management, as well as ongoing continuous service improvement programs.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or healthcare related discipline is required. Master’s degree is preferred. - Experience:
At least ten (10) years experience in a complex business and information systems environment, preferably in healthcare, required. At least five (5) of those years must have been in a managerial capacity; requirement. - Certifications:
ITIL v3 certification required or must obtain within first 6 months of employment.
- Applications architecture development and management
- Financial accounting
- Application development or deployment
- Focus on customer and client services with a commitment to satisfaction
- Ability to successfully interact with all professional and leadership levels throughout the organization
- Proven skills in working with vendors, end users, and contractors
- Strong planning, organizational development, critical thinking, decision making, and communication (verbal and written) skills
This individual will work with cross-functional IT teams to design, develop, and integrate IT Processes and procedures utilizing best practices and industry standard frameworks (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK, CMMI). They will ensure seamless execution by applying process improvement, change management methodologies, communication planning, organizational readiness assessment, and stakeholder analyses. In addition to this, they will also lead the migration to new technologies, and forecast financial, physical, and human resources needs to meet established objectives.
