This role establishes standards and reference architectures across integration platforms, data warehousing/lakehouse, and governance tooling to ensure a scalable, secure, and well‑documented data ecosystem.

This is a senior, hands‑on architecture role that combines strategic design with practical technical depth.

  • Provide architectural oversight for large integration initiatives (e.g., Workday implementations).
Data Platform Architecture
  • Own the target‑state data platform architecture using Microsoft Fabric and related Azure services.
  • Define landing zone patterns, transformation layers, and modeling standards.
  • Ensure data ingestion pipelines align with enterprise integration patterns.
  • Partner with engineering teams on scalable, cost‑effective designs.
Data Governance Architecture
  • Define the enterprise data governance framework and operating model.
  • Establish data domains, ownership, stewardship, and metadata standards.
  • Lead implementation of governance tooling (e.g., Microsoft Purview) including lineage, catalog, and classification.
  • Ensure governance is embedded into platform and integration design.
Standards, Documentation, and Enablement
  • Create and maintain reference architectures, standards, and design guidelines.
  • Provide architecture reviews for new integrations and data initiatives.
  • Enable engineering and analytics teams through templates, patterns, and documentation.
Strategic Partnership
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to align architecture with enterprise priorities.
  • Influence roadmap decisions related to integrations, data platforms, analytics, and AI.
