Our client is looking to hire a strategic IT leader who will own and evolve their Distributed Order Management (DOM) capabilities. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and business strategy, with direct impact on customer experience, order commitments, and enterprise execution. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity for someone who combines strong technical depth, architectural leadership, and transformation experience in complex, large-scale environments.
Role Responsibilities:- Define and execute the strategy and long‑term vision for Distributed Order Management aligned with business and operational priorities
- Own the end‑to‑end DOM platform, including architecture, roadmap, implementation, operations, and continuous improvement
- Lead solution discovery and design workshops, translating complex challenges into clear, executable outcomes
- Drive modernization initiatives using advanced analytics, automation, AI/ML, and emerging technologies
- Design scalable, foundational architectures that deliver near‑term value while supporting long‑term enterprise growth
- Ensure strong data governance and master data integrity across integrated order management processes
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, logistics, product teams, IT, and executive leadership
- Lead change management and user adoption, including communication and training strategies
- Mentor and develop technical leaders, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and results
- Define team skillsets and drive capability development and upskilling initiatives
- Manage external partners and participate in vendor and contract management
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience delivering advanced Order Management solutions in complex enterprise environments
- Hands‑on experience across order processing, scheduling, sourcing, routing optimization, and fulfilment
- Proven leader who thrives in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments
- Strong understanding of order fulfilment and inventory optimisation to support customer experience
- Deep knowledge of software architecture and system design fundamentals
- Ability to evaluate and apply modern technologies to solve business and technical challenges
- Excellent communication and stakeholder influence skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, interrupt‑driven environment
- Track record of driving consensus and delivering results
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
- Lead a mission‑critical enterprise platform with broad organisational impact
- High visibility and partnership with senior leadership
