Job Description
Responsible for the review, analysis, design, modification and execution of routine tasks associated with local area networks (LAN) to support the corporate Wintel and Linux computing platforms as a part of the it infrastructure support portfolio. These tasks may include, but are not limited to managing user accounts, monitoring, testing, evaluating, implementing and maintaining LAN applications and server systems. Assists with DHCP, DNS and WINS entries.
Serves as first and second level support of non‑routine and major events and incidents for all windows and Linux systems issues by identifying, evaluating, and troubleshooting non‑routine events and incidents with the data bases. Responds to telephone calls and email requests for LAN support. Competent to perform most phases of LAN support but may require instruction and guidance for some phases.
Safeguards physical access to Exchange restricted data, processes and services.

- MICROSOFT CERT SYSTEM ENGINEER - Preferred
- MICROSOFT CERT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR - Preferred
- Preferred 3-5 year’s experience in IT Support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox, or similar)
- Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot virtual machines.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.

Major Duties- Serves as 1st and 2nd level LAN Support for all Windows and Linux system issues and tasks.
- Monitors and manages Server systems, User Accounts, Instant Messaging and Live Communications.
- Assists with test, evaluation and implementation of hardware and software upgrades, fixes and patches.
- Assists with DHCP, DNS and Wins entries.
- Assists with research and evaluation of new technologies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 24x7 work environment supporting Exchange operations, which requires either shift work, on call, and/or after hours project work and may include holidays, and weekends
- IT environment is constantly changing demanding quick solutions and evolving skills
- IT position located at HQ
- IT position - there may be some TDY associated with this IT work
