Data Engineer, Database Administrator
Akkodis is seeking an DB Lead for a Contract with a client in Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL
. You will design and optimize relational data models to support high‑performance workloads and lead SQL performance tuning initiatives.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $49/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Lead development of complex SQL stored procedures, functions, and queries to support high‑performance transactional and analytical workloads.
- Design and optimize relational data models, ensuring scalability, integrity, and alignment with enterprise data architecture standards.
- Manage and tune Aurora Postgre
SQL databases on AWS, including performance optimization, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting slow‑running queries. - Oversee ETL workflows and data integration processes using Informatica to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely data movement.
- Collaborate with application, analytics, and cloud engineering teams to support database solutions, resolve issues, and guide best practices.
- Maintain documentation, enforce data governance, and provide technical leadership across database design, tuning, and deployment activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8–10 years of experience in database development, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Strong expertise in SQL stored procedure development, relational data modeling, and SQL performance optimization across Aurora Postgre
SQL on AWS. - Hands‑on experience with Informatica for ETL/data integration and the ability to lead end‑to‑end database solutions in cloud environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $49.00 per hour
