Job DescriptionBA – Operations role focuses on requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation for aviation operational modules such as Flight Operations, Crew Scheduling, and Safety. This position acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that solutions meet operational needs and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Analysis- Conduct workshops and interviews to capture operational requirements for aviation workflows.
- Perform gap analysis and identify process optimization opportunities.
- Prepare BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Agile practices.
- Maintain traceability matrices and ensure compliance with aviation standards (FAA/EASA).
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and delivery teams for scope clarity.
- Manage change requests and perform impact analysis.
- Support UAT planning and execution; validate deliverables against requirements.
- Work closely with developers and architects to ensure feasibility and clarity of requirements.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and interface data mappings for operational systems.
- Strong experience in requirements elicitation, gap analysis, and process modeling.
- Expertise in BRD/FSD creation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, and Azure ADO.
- Deep understanding of aviation operations:
Crew Scheduling, Flight Ops, Safety. - Familiarity with regulatory compliance (FAA/EASA) and airline industry standards.
- Familiarity with Crew Management Systems (CMS) and airline industry standards.
- Basic knowledge of cloud-native platforms, API integrations, and microservices.
- Understanding of REST APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, and enterprise data models.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in Agile/SAFe environments and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- CBAP or PMI-PBA for business analysis.
- SAFe® Agilist for scaled agile delivery.
- Airline domain certifications (IATA or equivalent).
- 5–8+ years in business analysis roles.
- Exposure to aviation IT systems and operational workflows.
- Proven ability to manage requirements for large-scale aviation projects.
