The Senior Vice President (SVP), Digital is the executive leader responsible for setting the vision and driving performance across all the agency’s digital marketing services for nonprofit clients. This role oversees Digital Strategy, Media Strategy, Digital Account Management, and Digital Operations, ensuring seamless integration of strategic thinking, campaign execution, and innovation across all digital touchpoints.

As a key member of the agency’s senior leadership team, the SVP, Digital is accountable for advancing the agency’s digital maturity—delivering transformational fundraising results, world‑class donor experiences, and sustainable client growth. This executive brings together the strategy, people, platforms, and performance data necessary to build best‑in‑class digital programs across a mission‑driven client portfolio.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Define and drive the agency’s digital vision and priorities across services, platforms, and nonprofit sectors.
  • Lead the integration of digital strategy, operations, and innovation to ensure consistency, scalability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to shape business goals, service delivery evolution, and market positioning.
  • Budget management for direct labor, freelance, nearshore and offshore resources
Commercial Digital Growth
  • Own and drive towards Digital and Media revenue targets, including new business and client growth
  • Co‑create and drive towards the growth strategy for account planning, increased account penetration and share of wallet, new business targeting and new business proposal/pitch
Oversight of Strategy & Operations
  • Directly manage the leads for Strategy and Operations, ensuring collaboration across campaign planning, execution, optimization, and reporting.
  • Ensure strategic alignment across all digital initiatives including media, donor journeys, email, SMS, SEO, paid social, programmatic, and web experience.
  • Champion an agile, insight‑led operating model that meets or exceeds client KPIs and agency profitability targets.
Client Growth & Strategic Leadership
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor for high‑value nonprofit clients, guiding multichannel strategy, innovation planning, and long‑term growth.
  • Partner with Client Services, Creative, and Analytics to develop data‑informed recommendations that align with fundraising goals and donor behavior.
  • Oversee the development of annual client roadmaps and revenue forecasts tied to digital program performance.
  • Stay ahead of market shifts, platform changes, and emerging technologies to evolve the agency’s digital offering.
  • Lead innovation initiatives that test and scale new donor engagement methods, creative formats, and platform capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen integration of digital data, creative, and offline channels to enhance overall campaign performance.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing team of digital leaders, strategists, and specialists across functional disciplines.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation aligned with the missions of the clients served.
  • Ensure talent development, cross‑training, and succession planning within the digital department.
Agency & Market Growth
  • Support new business efforts by contributing to pitch strategies, representing digital capabilities, and shaping go‑to‑market messaging.
  • Lead strategic presentations and insights for prospective and current clients at the executive level.
  • Represent the agency in industry forums, panels, and thought leadership opportunities to elevate RKD’s digital brand.
Qualifications, skills, and experience
  • 15+ years of digital marketing experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles
