SAP EAM​/Plant Maintenance Architect

Overview

Oil and Gas industry

SAP Solution Architect will serve as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders, leading SAP ECC solution design, validation, and delivery. The role requires deep functional expertise across multiple modules, integration experience, strong IS Oil business process analysis skills, and the ability to drive consensus through structured workshops and design validation sessions while managing stringent timelines.

• SAP Architect Functional Leadership:
  • Strategic Solution Architecture:
    Lead the design and continuous improvement of SAP enterprise landscapes, with a holistic view of business processes, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies relevant to oil & gas.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Partner with executives, business analysts, and operational teams to understand business goals, translate requirements into SAP solutions, and communicate architectural vision and value.
  • Lead, manage and monitor configuration, and functional validation in ECC environments
  • Governance and Best Practices:
    Establish and enforce governance policies, SAP standards, templates, and reference architectures to ensure compliance, security, scalability, and performance across multiple SAP landscapes and business units.
  • End-to-End Solution Design
  • Project Leadership:
    Provide technical direction and oversight for major SAP transformation initiatives, migrations, and upgrades, ensuring delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
  • Experienced in harmonizing business processes for non-SAP entities while migrating to SAP ECC
• Workshops & Design Validation:
  • Plan and conduct business requirement workshops, process walkthroughs, and design validation sessions
  • Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to align business needs with SAP capabilities
  • Present solution options, trade-offs, and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders
• Business Process Analysis & Optimization:
  • Perform current-state (AS-IS) and future-state (TO-BE) business process analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process streamlining, standardization, and efficiency improvements
  • Align SAP ECC configurations with optimized business processes and control requirements
• Stakeholder & Communication Management:
  • Serve as a primary interface between business users, IT teams, and external partners
  • Manage expectations and resolve conflicts through strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Provide clear, concise documentation and status updates to stakeholders at all levels
• Delivery & Timeline Management:
  • Work effectively under stringent timelines in complex, multi-stream project environments
  • Support project planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation from a functional perspective
  • Ensure timely completion of design, configuration, testing, and go-live support activities

Functional Expertise

• 1015 years of SAP PM/EAM experience on SAP ECC
• Strong hands-on configuration and troubleshooting skills in SCM process area
• Proven experience in integrated PM/EAM and cross-module dependencies, preferably in Oil and Gas industry.
• Experience supporting template rollouts

Business & Consulting Skills

• Strong business process analysis and optimization capabilities
• Ability to bridge business requirements with SAP technical solutions
• Experience working in client-facing or consulting environments is highly desirable

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead workshops and design validation sessions
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior business leaders

Delivery & Execution

• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Structured, detail-oriented, and results-driven approach
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
