Functional SAP Manager; Dallas, TX

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Functional SAP Manager to join our chemicals manufacturing organization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our SAP S/4

HANA environment deployed via RISE with SAP, alongside integrated bolt-on solutions such as BW/4

HANA, Asset Manager, Ariba, Global Trade Services (GTS), and Advanced Transportation Management. This leadership position will ensure end-to-end process efficiency, drive digital transformation, and support business growth through innovative SAP solutions.

• Lead and manage the functional SAP team, overseeing day-to-day operations and long-term strategic projects within the SAP S/4
  
  HANA (RISE) ecosystem.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business process owners, IT, and external SAP consultants to ensure alignment of SAP solutions with organizational goals.
• Oversee the functional integration and support of all SAP modules, including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Sales & Distribution.
• Manage the deployment and continuous improvement of SAP bolt-on solutions such as:
  • BW/4
    
    HANA for advanced analytics and reporting
  • SAP Asset Manager for maintenance and asset lifecycle management
  • Ariba for procurement and supplier collaboration
  • Global Trade Services (GTS) for compliance and international trade
  • Advanced Transportation Management for logistics and supply chain optimization
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design functional specifications, and deliver scalable SAP solutions.
• Ensure system integrity, compliance, and best practices for chemical manufacturing processes, including batch management, regulatory reporting, and safety standards.
• Coordinate testing, training, and change management activities for SAP enhancements and rollouts.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated on SAP roadmap, new functionalities, and industry trends to advise on future strategic initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in SAP functional roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or team leadership capacity.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4
  
  HANA (preferably in a RISE with SAP environment) and its core modules.
• Proven experience with SAP BW/4
  
  HANA, Asset Manager, Ariba, GTS, and Advanced Transportation Management.
• Strong knowledge of business processes in the chemicals manufacturing industry.
• Demonstrated project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams and large-scale SAP projects.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional SAP certifications are a plus.
