Purpose of the Job

The Product Manager will play a key role in executing the Smart Cards platform's value proposition, key messaging, roadmap definition and execution, as well as placement and pricing strategies. They will drive both tactical and strategic execution of product roadmap activities, working with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations to ensure product offerings and delivery meet technical and business needs of customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop product strategies and roadmap to address target markets and revenue generation
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) to our customers, select partners, as well as internal lines of business on how our Smart Cards platform works
  • Manage 3rd party relationships
  • By way of ongoing customer engagement throughout the software development lifecycle, obtain and document customer feedback [product requirements and use cases] and share/analyze that feedback with Product Marketing Management to ensure our product incorporates the customer voice
  • Manage technical product positioning, technical value proposition definition, and deliver technical presentation material
  • Support planning, organization, and control of the Smart Cards platform from conceptual stage through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives
  • Work with Sales, Marketing, QA and Development to coordinate timely and proper product enhancements
  • Provide internal new product features training at events and demos
  • Assist in monitoring cyber security market trends and technology developments closely and help translate these into the overall product strategy
  • Work closely with Product/Corporate Marketing and Marketing Communication by providing input into establishment of effective marketing and sales tools, including demos
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in software engineering or computer science (MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years industry experience in Product Management with in-depth knowledge of Product, Placement, Promotion, and Pricing strategies
  • Proven track record of taking a product from inception to multi-million dollars of annual revenue
  • Sound understanding of cybersecurity threats and experience with information security products, services, and concepts
  • Solid understanding of the software authentication landscape
  • Experience with the smart card market and technology (asset)
  • Proven experience with system integrators and channels (asset)
  • Passion for winning new business and beating competition
  • Demonstrated customer/service-centered experience and focus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and work ethic
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts
  • Ability to travel 10% to support the needs of the business
