Infrastructure Architect — Participate in technical sprints and help define the scope of a service build model for infrastructure stacks including servers, storage, backup, networks, and containers. Assess customer environments and requirements to build a Private Cloud as a Service infrastructure leveraging best practices and industry-leading technical stacks. Demonstrate an understanding of applications to perform apps-level assessments. Install and configure compute, storage, and backup stacks to support private cloud requirements, with emphasis on Containers as a Service (CaaS).
Perform system integration activities for compute, storage, Open Shift, and backup. Understand zero-trust architecture and build infrastructure that aligns with SASE configurations. Create Infrastructure as Code scripts using Helm, Terraform, and related tools to enable reusable and repeatable deployments.
- Participate in technical sprints and help define the scope of Private Cloud as a Service infrastructure.
- Assess customer environments and requirements to design and implement private cloud infrastructure.
- Install and configure compute, storage, and backup stacks for private cloud needs, with emphasis on containers (CaaS).
- Perform system integration across compute, storage, Open Shift, and backup components.
- Understand zero-trust/SASE concepts and implement aligned infrastructure configurations.
- Create Infrastructure as Code scripts using Helm Charts, Terraform, and related tooling for reusable deployments.
- Define firmware build standards for Open Shift-based platforms and establish security standards for currency management.
- Set up high-availability configurations for labs, data centers, and hyperscaler-like infrastructure.
- Work with storage platforms (e.g., Net App, EMC, IBM, HP, Pure) and file systems, including migrations.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cloud networking, including virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
- Leverage cloud PaaS services (Azure/AWS/Google/Oracle) for cloud solutions and demonstrate Dev Ops practices with Azure Dev Ops or Git Hub for CI/CD and version control.
- Use Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep) and Git for provisioning cloud resources; automate using Power Shell.
- Create, validate, and review solutions and effort estimates for Hybrid Cloud transformation opportunities globally.
- Manage migration and disaster recovery tools; act as a single point of contact for architecture work related to Hybrid Cloud technologies.
- Collaborate across teams; communicate effectively; produce clear technical documentation; work independently and in teams.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, MIS, or related field.
- Typically 8–10+ years of IT experience in architecting, implementing, or managing Hybrid Cloud environments.
- Experience with virtualization for microservices and containers-based architecture.
- Experience with x86 servers and converged infrastructure technologies (IBM, Dell, HP, Cisco).
- Ability to define firmware build standards for Open Shift-based platforms and security standards.
- High availability deployment experience in labs, data centers, and hyperscaler-like infrastructures.
- Working knowledge of storage platforms (Net App, EMC, IBM, HP, Pure) and file systems/migrations.
- Strong cloud networking knowledge (virtual networks, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
- Experience with Azure/AWS/Google/Oracle PaaS, Dev Ops or Git Hub for CI/CD and version control.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep) and scripting (Power Shell);
Terraform experience. - Experience with Kubernetes/Open Shift/Kubernetes Service (AKS) and related container orchestration.
- Proven ability to migrate and transform existing systems to the cloud using Azure tools and best practices.
- Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and documentation skills; team-oriented. Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Minimum 8–10 years as a service platform build experience.
- At least five years hands-on experience building and architecting highly scalable infrastructure solutions.
- 5+ years in a Dev Sec Ops /Reliability Engineering role.
- Certifications:
Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Red Hat Open Shift, Azure or AWS Solution Architect, MCSE/RHCSA, Terraform, Azure AZ-104 or AZ-305 or equivalent.
