QA Lead, IT​/Tech, IT QA Tester ​/ Automation

The QA Lead is responsible for overseeing functional, regression, automation, and end-to-end testing activities across the project lifecycle.

This role involves collaborating closely with project managers, product owners, SMEs, developers, and offshore/onshore teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

The QA Lead will define governance models for testing, prioritize automation efforts, identify performance testing areas, and create both manual and automated test cases. This position requires strong leadership, coordination, and technical expertise in QA practices within data-focused environments.

• Understand overall project requirements and define the scope of testing efforts.
• Collaborate with PMs, POs, SMEs, and stakeholders to gather functional, UI, regression, and end-to-end test case requirements.
• Work with developers and other teams to identify test data needs and gather API testing requirements.
• Establish a governance model for managing functional and non-functional testing processes.
• Write functional, regression, and end-to-end test cases in qTest.
• Identify performance testing areas within projects and determine testing strategies.
• Analyze and prioritize test cases suitable for automation (regression and risk-based).
• Develop automated test cases for business-critical workflows, preferably using Tosca.
• Lead and collaborate with onshore and offshore QA teams to ensure consistent delivery and execution.
• Provide ongoing communication and alignment across all testing activities.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the SDLC.
• Work onsite five days a week as required.

• 10+ years of experience in QA within data-focused domains.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Functional Testing.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Automation Testing (Tosca preferred, but experience with any automation tool acceptable).
• 4+ years of experience leading or collaborating with onshore/offshore QA teams.
• Strong understanding of test planning, test execution, and QA methodologies.
• Experience with qTest or similar test management tools.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
