Position SummaryThe Associate Director, Sourcing and Category Management is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, optimizing supplier relationships, and driving value across key spend categories such as technology, professional services, marketing, and operations. This role plays a strategic role in ensuring sourcing decisions align with Stellantis Financial Services US, business objectives, risk management framework, and regulatory compliance requirements. The Associate Director, Sourcing and Category Management, partners with business leaders across IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Cyber to deliver cost savings, improve supplier performance, and support SFS’s long‑term transformation and growth objectives.
- Develop and execute category management strategies across key spend areas, aligning with SFS’s financial, operational, and compliance goals.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting, to optimize value and mitigate risk.
- Manage relationships with critical vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual, regulatory, and service‑level requirements.
- Partner with stakeholders to support vendor risk management and ensure third‑party compliance with SFS and Stellantis policies.
- Oversee the execution of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, including evaluation, analysis, and recommendation of award decisions.
- Analyze category spend, supplier performance, and market trends to identify savings opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure sourcing activities meet all internal controls, data protection, and audit requirements.
- Negotiate complex commercial agreements, including terms for performance, liability, confidentiality, and cybersecurity.
- Develop and maintain sourcing and procurement governance frameworks, policies, and templates.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to sourcing and procurement team members to build organizational capability.
- Minimum eight (8) years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management.
- Minium four (4) years’ experience in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience developing and executing sourcing strategies and managing categories across technology, data services, professional services, and other enterprise spend areas.
- Proven capability in supplier relationship and performance management, including ongoing vendor governance.
- Skilled in contract negotiation, risk management, and working with vendor risk, compliance, and audit processes.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, including SOX, CCPA, CPRA, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards.
- Proficient in conducting financial analysis, driving cost optimization, and leveraging complex data to inform strategic, data‑driven decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives, partner effectively with senior stakeholders, and influence decision‑making.
- Experience in process improvement, change leadership, and operating effectively in dynamic, fast‑paced environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and procurement platforms (Oracle, Workday).
- Experience working within the financial services industry or other regulated environments.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required.
