Job DescriptionAs Manager Technology - Fuel & Tax, you'll lead a highly technical Team driving modernization of critical systems like Allegro for fuel management and implementing a suite of cloud-based tax technologies integrated with SAP. This role is pivotal in transforming manual processes into automated, scalable solutions that ensure compliance and efficiency across Finance, Supply Chain, and Tax operations. From enabling advanced data strategies and GDPR compliance to guiding cloud development and automation, you'll shape the future of Southwest's Technology ecosystem.
By delivering innovative solutions and building strong partnerships across business and technology teams, you'll help Southwest operate smarter and more efficiently-fueling our ability to keep Customers at the heart of everything we do.

Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of business/Leadership principals, including planning, organizing, directing, developing, and supervising
- Knowledge of personnel practices and regulations
- Knowledge of software development practices, concepts, methodologies, tools and trends
- Proficient knowledge of project management methodologies
- Skilled in excellent partnering, negotiation and communication in order to facilitate interactions with business Customers and technology teams
- Ability to provide tactical leadership for Team(s)
- Ability to use appropriate motivation and influence techniques to achieve desired Team results
- Ability to set and manage stakeholder expectations
- Ability to deliver quality projects on time and within budget
- Ability to manage projects using the organization's project management methodology
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED - Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information systems or similar fields of study or equivalent advanced level experience
- Required:
Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s) - Required:
Fully functioning, broad knowledge in:- A Business and/or Information Technology environment
- Leading teams and providing work direction
- Preferred:
Experience in organizing and leading technology teams, including staffing to support changes in technology platforms - Preferred:
Experience delivering in large projects/programs - Preferred:
Experience leading cloud teams
