Consultant @ Empiric | Microsoft Fabric & Data | Former DI Volleyball PlayerWe’re hiring a Data Engineer to lead the modernization of enterprise data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric in Dallas, TX!
What you'll do- Design and build data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric (Dataflow Gen2, Pipelines, Lakehouse)
- Lead the migration of legacy SSIS and SQL-based ETL into Fabric
- Develop advanced SQL and use Python for data transformation and automation
- Deliver trusted, analytics-ready datasets for BI and reporting
- 5 years of experience in the data engineering realm
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse, data pipelines, and Fabric‑native orchestration.
- Strong background in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building, scheduling, and monitoring data pipelines, including migration or modernization from legacy ETL.
- Proficiency in Python for data transformation, automation, data validation, and data quality checks within cloud data platforms.
- Solid understanding and practical experience implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) for scalable, governed analytics solutions.
- Advanced SQL skills for developing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and transformations across relational and cloud data sources.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
- Full‑time role
- Hybrid in Dallas, TX (3 days on‑site, 2 days remote flex)
- $120k–$130k base
- Performance based bonus
