Senior Cisco Network Architect

Employment Type: Contract to hire.

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cisco Network Architect to lead the strategy, design, and implementation of our enterprise-wide network infrastructure. This role is responsible for setting the direction of complex LAN/WAN solutions, driving modernization efforts across legacy and software‑defined architectures, and ensuring secure and efficient network operations.

As a strategic leader and hands‑on technical expert, you will collaborate with business and IT stakeholders, define infrastructure standards, and lead the integration of cutting‑edge Cisco technologies including DNA, ACI, ISE, and SDA.

• Lead the architecture and implementation of LAN, WAN, and wireless solutions across enterprise domains.
• Develop and communicate strategic infrastructure plans with executive leadership.
• Design and deploy high‑availability network solutions, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Oversee network equipment procurement, installation, configuration, and ongoing support.
• Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including logical and physical designs.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and services across legacy and modern environments.
• Ensure compliance with industry best practices in security, performance, and access control.
• Lead vendor selection and manage external partnerships for network technology delivery.
• Drive ongoing upgrades, patches, and performance optimizations for all network components.
• Support Cisco ISE policy creation and management, network access control, and identity security.

• 10+ years in enterprise‑class network architecture, implementation, and support.
• Cisco Routing and Switching
• F5 Load Balancers
• Infoblox (DNS & DHCP)
• Strong background in both legacy and Software‑Defined Access (SDA) environments.
• Proven track record in complex integrations and multi‑technology environments.

• CCDP
• CCNP (Routing & Switching, Wireless, Data Center)
• Experience with:

• Proven ability to troubleshoot and optimize advanced routing protocols in highly complex network environments
• Hands‑on experience with the full lifecycle of Cisco Next‑Generation Firewalls (NGFW), from deployment to ongoing management
• Integration and administration of authentication protocols, including AAA and RADIUS
• In‑depth knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), including system upgrades and implementation of network access control (NAC) best practices
• Expertise in developing both high‑level architectural designs and detailed low‑level implementation plans for secure, scalable networks
• Strong focus on security hygiene, with a proactive approach to patch management, vulnerability mitigation, and continuous performance tuning
