Our client, Collabera LLC, is seeking a hands‑on Akamaai CDN Engineer to own and scale CDN, WAF, and Bot Management for high‑traffic, customer‑facing applications. This long‑term contract has consistent renewals and real impact from day one.
Hybrid (3 days onsite/week Dallas area) | 6‑month contract, ongoing extensions | Pay Range: $60‑65/hr | Interviewing now | Start ASAP
Responsibilities- Lead Akamaai CDN, WAF & Bot Manager configurations
- Optimize caching, performance, and API security
- Troubleshoot latency, cache misses, and regional issues
- Partner with dev teams to onboard and support multiple apps
- Automate Akamaai configs using APIs, scripts, or IaC tools
- Act as the Akamaai SME and grow into a technical lead role
- 5+ years of hands‑on Akamaai experience (CDN, WAF, Bot Manager)
- Strong caching & performance optimization skills
- Experience supporting customer‑facing web apps & APIs
- Comfort working with Akamaai tools (Ion, GTM, Control Center, mPulse)
- Ability to collaborate, lead, and own the platform
- Automation (Python, Bash, Terraform, Akamaai APIs)
- Bot management & CAPTCHA tuning
- Prior tech lead or mentorship experience
